Family Planning

Family planning allows families to space and time their births, and is achieved through use of contraceptive methods as well as the treatment of infertility. It promotes the health and well-being of women, and supports the health and development of families and communities.

Family planning reduces pregnancy-related health risks in women, reduces infant mortality, helps to prevent HIV/AIDS, and slows population growth.

There are a number of modern and traditional contraceptive methods available.
